Work Package 1: State of the art
In this work package, we aimed to map the current state of preservation of 3D scans through a literature review and a survey conducted in 2024. The survey was used to validate the findings of the literature review with real-world practice. In this research, we focused on preservation policy, file formats, and metadata. Our findings are documented in the report D1: State of the art.

Work Package 2: Deep dive into file formats and metadata schemas
In this work package, running in the first half of 2025, we delve into the file formats for archival files and derivatives, as well as metadata schemas. We explore specifications, investigate whether we can convert files and metadata into these formats, and identify the software in which these formats are implemented.
